Does anybody make a nice pod for our cars that goes on top of the steering column? I bought one for my dads 2003 Harley Davidson F150 a few years back and it is an awesome piece and fits great.

Did some searching but I didnt find anything.

This is the closest thing I could find.

I too would like to see pictures and on the same topic. Would you guys do a 30-0-20 Pro Comp Boost Gauge Silver like the radio pods or would you do a 30-0-20 white faced Autometer Phantom to match the dash cluster?

Someone on the site has a whole host of gauges mounted, even steering column.

I'm thinking Joe Walsh, but i could be wrong. There was once a post about them.

I was correct post #8

You will have to paint it unless you do not mind it being black.

Yep, that's my cockpit.....errrr............. dashboard gauges!
I don't think that they make the left hand side mount anymore....just the right hand side mount, as pictured in the ADTR site.
I will take a few more close up pictures of my steering column gauge and post up later today.

Check out this thread:

I used SEM's paint when I installed a dual a-pillar pod. It is not a perfect match but looks good.

Before painting to match:

Wow thanks for the pictures. That looks like the 15004 pod? Can you verify the number? I called my parts supplier and he ordered the 15011 for me. The pod is on the other side of the column. I dont think it matters much where it goes................

I believe you are correct...I'll have to dig up the receipt/box from Autometer.
I chose that model because it was on the left hand side of the steering column and is directly in front of the OEM water temperature gauge, which is the same as the new Autometer water temperature gauge that I was installing.

BTW: I kept the OEM water temperature gauge functional, just added a second/new temperature sensor under the intake manifold in the top of the block.

Thank you so much for posting the detailed pics!

It's a shame it has the hole on the right side where the gearshift was on the truck.

That is actually for the lever to unlock the key from the ignition. The column shift trucks have a much larger hole for full range of the shift lever.

I am going to try and figure something out to cover that on mine.

Here is a place that sells both Colorbond brand and SEM interior paints/dyes. I'm not sure what color is actually best match. Click on the various links to get color charts etc. The SEM one is the classic coat category

Also I could not install the finishing ring on my A/F gauge as the back of the steering scrapes it on turns. I just left it off.

I have that same gauge pod 15011 in my possession I just would rather have the gauge on the drivers side of the column if possible. After doing lots of researching it looks like that will be tough to find.
