Kooks CAT failures

Installed Kooks LTH with x-pipe on both 2003 and 2004 in May 2010. Both cars' CATs recently started rattling. While the 2004 began first, it has 20K miles LESS on its system than the 2003.

Yesterday, this happened on the 2003 ...

I'm in contact with Kool-aid who's reaching out to management currently at SEMA. He's going to try to get the parts warranted for me. Shortly after the install, I had to have the header on the driver's side of the 2003 spot welded for leaks. Hoping this adds to my case.

Great news! Kooks offered me a great rate to replace the CATS including the pipes. It'll be a bolt up job from headers to x-pipes. Sending both sets in same box to save on shipping.

They've changed suppliers to GESi® catalytic converters and report better success. Shipping two-day so I should have the 2003 replaced for my sales trip to the Florida Keys and West Coast next week.

I'll post up new pics when install is complete and report on the ride.

UPDATE: I've been credited $70 in KOOKS KASH which is good to use until March 2014. Again, superb customer service to resolve a desperate situation.
