No it goes under the dash. It's the black cover, the cover piece that holds the floor light. And hides all the wiring....

I removed mine to do the OD light mod. While I was under the dash, my lovely children grabbed it and played with it in the back yard. Needless to say it got all screwed up. So that's why I'm looking for a new one, if anyone was wondering.

Try a recycle yard. My '04 doesn't have one, never had.

Not true at all, in Atlanta I did a bunch of pedal repairs, 03 300A and B and 04 some had it, some did not. No rhyme or reason I could find.

The first 1,500 produced I believe had it. Which are the true 300A.... FWIW Mine is 1,114....

My Ford contact told me the cover was used 01-03 on the Mercury GM MM line. 04 they did away with it. And just replaced it with a bracket to hold the light.... But if by chance you do have one, I'll take it! :laugh:

That is correct. You may find some on 2004's that were early in the production run as Ford would use whatever they had left from the last 2003's made.
