ok so its winter time and REALLYYY need tires on my 03 MM 300A so NO traction control

I been really wanting a set of nitto nt555 extremes on my car since seeing ALOT of memebrs running these....1 for performance....2 love the tread pattern they look awesome love the drag radial look

I know its winter and they are NOT the best for winter at all and my MM is my daily driver so I will just be careful like always.. :)

I work at a meinikie and my boss lets use get parts and pay payment each week an agreed amount taking out of check each week.. :D

my tires are SOO bald right now the stock bf Goodrich/ stock size only lasted me barely over a year...:mad2:

so I told myself my next set is gonna be the nitto 555's seem to be ther most used/ recommended tire here so why not see what all the talk is about.

but of course when I go to order them they only had the fronts I wanted to run and not the rears and they had only 4 in stock of the fronts 255/45/18 so that made me oder them .....good thing is I can rotate them to get a littekl more life out them ....

but eventually im going to order a pair of the 265/50/18 I think they are if im correct...recommended by memebers here looks better than fills out the wells better...

sorry for the paragraph but just excited...SOO it is ok to run these 255/45/18 on all 4 righttt???

tomarrow they are getting mounted and balanced and of course an alignment WITH the carfixers specs ..:D:D

so how much of an improvement with these over the stockers???

I get to mount/ balance and alignment for free also...I have a pretty cool boss so that's gonna save me 170.00 right there and only a tire a check taking out my check each week..paid 148 a tire seemed to be a pretty good deal....

but im gonna keep checking the website for when they do get the 265/50/18 nittos in so I can grab them before gone again but they were 180.00 apz...

them gonna use the other 2...255/45/18 pne of my full size spare and other just as a spare.. :D

never been more excited to go to work on a Saturday in my life when upgrading the rauder to a nice set of new nitto's..:beer:
will post up pics tom after work.:D

Don't have the 255/45 nitto but I have the 255/45 Hankook Ventus V12s up front and the 265/50 nittos out back.....the nittos look great on the car but I'm hearing some type of tire noise coming from the rear don't know if they r just loud tires or the noise is from somewhere else back there.

I'm going to be running that setup all winter don't see nuthin wrong with it, I mean I don't plan on doing 75 mph in the snow so I'm fine with them. In the summer I think im going with some Goodyears I saw don't remember the tire size I'll habe to check again but they look real good and had a bunch of good reviews from alot of guys with Corvettes.

Either way I was satisfied with both the Hankooks and the Nittos. And I don't have traction control either but I think you would be fine running the same size all the way around. Before I got my tires when I first bought my car I rode around for the first year with the stock bfgoodies 235/50 all the way around until they were bald.

Yes 255/45 works just fine on all 4 corners when you don't have TC, that is what I'm running. Of course you'll need to change the tire size in the tune to correct the speedo and shift points.

yes they are done and did the alignment with carfixers spec and drives noiceeee :argue:

will get pichure tom

now im just waiting on the company we get tires from to get some 265-50-18 nitto 555...so I get get a set of those and put on rear like wanted originally .....but they had 4 of these so I couldn't resist and safetly was a hugeeee issue...im gonna take a pic of tires had on there :shake:.....they were 8 years old.... no tread///drying rotting......with winter coming fast needed tires ASAP

but they look good with all 4 same size on there...but gonna use the 2 255/45/18 one on my full size spare and one as a backup and ill be set...:)

so im a happy camper....now next week after pay tires off doing all 4 new slotted and drilled and a ceramic pad.....getting winter ready

then finally gonna plastidip rims to protect them and get a niceeee detail job polish/wax andc maybe a cut and buff would be aweomeee to get all scratches outtt
