I use this (http://smartercharger.com/products/batterychargers/ctek-multi-us-3300/) one. It's a bit more money, but you can leave the battery connected without worrying about damage to other electronics. It even comes with a small adapter cable that lets you make a "permanent" connection, yet still be able to disconnect the charger easily.
I worry about cheap-o wall-wart chargers being too much of a "brute force" approach, as opposed to a proper maintenance approach.

Last count I had 5 trickle chargers from my snowmobile, 4 wheeler, motorcycle days.
I like the Schumaker ones. $20 and trustworthy.

In the 9 years of owning mine, and not driving it in the winter,..
I have not bought nor used a trickle charger.
It is not stored in climate control, and have never had to jump start it, once the time came around.

I have had cheap float chargers and expensive ones for my boats over the years with about the same failure rate regardless of price!!
The last one that quit was a Schumaker and I don't have one now since we use most everything year round!!;)
Just tryin' to help y'all Snow Bound Brothers and Sisters!!:D

I have nine Battery Tenders. Eight compact and one regular unit. I have had two units fail in over 13 years of using them. My battery life is usually over seven years even on my zero turn mower that usually gets started six times a year. I have eight units connected to vehicles constantly. the only ones not hooked up are my daily drivers.

I just picked up that Harbor Freight one on Sunday.
I'll probably end up buying a Battery Tender though.

Been using the harbor freight ones on each of the cars, both riding lawnmowers, and jetski for more than 8 years and never had a failure other than being an idiot and driving the car out of the garage with the charger still attached to the wall.

I use the cheap harbour freight solar units that plug into the cigarette lighter, no fuss, no muss!

I store my Marauder for 5 to 6 months every year. I put the charger on the battery overnight the day before storing, (probably doesn't need it with a good alternator charge), and pull the battery leads when I put the Marauder away. Come late April, hook up the battery leads, and fire up the beast.
Never had a problem.

You can lose about 30% of your battery's capacity in 5-6 months and although you get the car started it is hard on your charging system trying to bring it back up......I'd charge it before taking the car out of "Hibernation"!!

Start my car every few weeks and let it run. But mines not stored hours away just about 15 mins.

I try to start my car and take it for a 10 minute drive at least once during the winter. Typically when we get a rainfall and the salt is washed away. Other then that I make sure the gas tank is full and let it sit in the garage. Garage is about to be heated however so may just let it sit once I get the heater up and running.
