looking to save a little if I can, but still get complete, nice bars.
Front is first priority
just wrap the bar in skrink wrap and shipping won't be that bad, I've done it.
Please pm with what you have
shipping will be to Ct 06098
thanks!

Not sure if Sparta Performance is still selling these or not. (vendor here)

I got mine from www.neverenoughauto.com (http://www.neverenoughauto.com) years ago and hunted the internet for a discount code as well. Got both front and rear solid bars at the same time. Also did new shocks(Ford) and the Sparta control arms and Watt's link as well.

Car handles much better now though the ride got a bit stiffer.

Nitto Motivo tires helped subdo some of the harshness and I think they handle better than the BFG's too.

Thanks for the tip on new part location! I'm looking into them.
I've performed countless larger sway bar upgrades on various vehicle makes, and all resulted in a slighly stiffer ride.
A trade off for not letting the body roll in corners ;)

.........
I should clarify - looking for a nice used set of Addco bars - although new at lower price, as Mr. Man pointed out, is starting to look reasonable.
Thanks!

The only thing you'll find used is take-off OEM Marauder bars, which are popular with the Crown Vic set. There is no "other" sway bar to motivate a Marauder owner to remove their Addco's. Unless they were going to switch from Addco solid to tubular. That seems unlikely . . .

But you will like the new sway bars.

Prices seem pretty good at Summit. Free shipping too.

Guys - I appreciate the input.
I am realizing these cars are owned more by 'keepers' rather than guys that change cars alot.
In the Camaro/Firebird/Mustang world, high perf parts come for sale all the time from project bailouts, returning to stock, accidents etc. It is crazy NOT to look for the non wear type part slightly used.
I'm learning these cars have a slower 'parts for sale' rotation.
I did search here, Crownvic.net and a few other sites and found bars listed, but sold. It's worth a shot. ;)

Thanks - I'll be going new somewhere, I don't have much patience :beatnik:

The only other place to look would be a junkyard. You'll need to take your mics to measure as I don't recall the Addco name emblazened on the bars, but then again it has been awhile since I looked them over. Finding a wreaked MM in a local junkyard will also be a challenge. I'd go new. Easypeasy

Still need a front, used Addco bar.
2 have eluded me in just 2 months, so they are out there.....

*rear Addco - found nice used at 50% new cost
*stalll convertor - found one barely used at 50% new cost
*rear control arms - found nice used at 25% new cost

I'd say it's worth looking around before buying ne on some stuff ;)

I would NEVER buy a used stall converter. Too much work and $$ in a transmission to take chances like that!

Sway bar, sure, low risk . . . if you can find one used.

:bandit: I try to do the same. Part outs, bail outs, left overs, change of plan = deals and everybody is happy!

I hear you. I don't suggest guys buy them used either. However, I have had 100% success with used convertors, probably by knowing exactly what I need and knowing, or establishing trust in the seller.
