As most people...CHEAP! LOL! I have a stock high miles engine that seized the cams, just want a set of heads so I can go through them, throw some rings and bearings in and have a spare engine again...thanks Marty!

Is this a common problem with these motors?

If you don't change the oil regularly, and beat the crap out of the car, they will seize due to lack of oil...

You mean those awesome cylinder heads weren't good enough to reuse? :D

I heard when the oil looks like tar they run much better

Melling Dura-bond has tooling and inserts available now to repair these heads. Tools are about $300 bucks. I have a set of heads from a S/C lightning engine that need the same work. There might be a machine shop by you that has the tools. Your looking at $500 for a serviceable set of heads.

Thanks for the info, we have a shop that can fix them near by...honestly stock heads are not worth it...throw em out and grab another set.
