I am looking around for an 04 with a right deal. I gather from a local dealer that there is quite a bit of "under the table" incentive direct to the dealer from FOMOCO on Marauders through tomorrow, 3/31.
Supposedly the rebates will remain or increase but this will go away for now.
Anybody have some solid numbers on this special incentive?

Just chill a while...there will be BIG $s off soon. I watched it last year get to $5K off pretty quickly.

I agree with TAF.
Varsity Lincoln Mercury in Novi, Michigan, has 52 Marauders in stock today.
I received a $5K rebate in October '03, like TAF mentioned.
Just wait till summer when gasoline prices really escalate.

I was told today about 'Stair Step' Dealer Cash.

This is a program (invisible from the public) where dealers who reach certain sales figure levels during a defined period of time receive cash incentives according to the level they have reached. These are usually quarterly periods like the one ending tomorrow, March 31st. During the period as each new 'stair step' is attained the cash kicked down to the dealer increases. The is another reason that high volume dealers -or- high volume sellers of a particular model can offer better and better prices as they outpace their competition. Starting in April will be a new period, so expect the next round of really good pricing around the last half of June as some dealers reach incentive levels approaching those which end tomorrow. This incentive program (stair step) is in addition to any publically announced rebates, coupons, or programs. I was told that this is why my selling dealer had such good deals. Incidently the $26,000 (after rebatesand programs) price posted on a previous thread was for a model which did not have a moonroof. The dealer said this was a loss leader to get people into the dealership last weekend.

On my deal the (after rebates and programs price) started about $27,500 due to power moonroof and included a $500 dealer profit margin (what he told me) then $1,250 worth of dealer installed options (with labor) were added. Added after this was about $1,665 for four more years of premium extended warranty. Sales Tax, Title, Docs, etc added another $2,900 (California)

I think I received a good price based on all factors.

Best Regards,

David
