looking to upgrade my lighting to led, interior and exterior. heres a great link to look at: http://www.per-accurate.com/catalogue/LED%20BULB%20BASE%20&%20SOCKET.htm
per the link i posted: T10/T15 both use the same socket, the difference is the bulbs/led diameter. 194=T10 or T15, depending in the clearance allowed for the bulb. 906/921= T10 or T15, depending on clearance allowed for the bulb. 3157 has same socket as 3156, 3157 has hi/lo output, 3156 is single light output.

Heres a list i've made So far, please tell me if i need to make a correction, and other bulbs for the car, i will update when i find answers:

Superbrightleds.com is the only sight I use for leds, they also have an app on the website to tell you where and what size the bulbs are

I have been meaning to type up a comprehensive list for this type of upgrade. Hope this helps, PM me if you want any more information, FREE OF CHARGE ;)

For the interior you need a lot of the 194 style wedge bulbs...

I ordered 3 x 10pks ( I think I had one out of 30 give me an issue)

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00755JMYS/ref=wms_ohs_product?ie=UTF8&psc=1

2 x 42mm festoons (I like spares)

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00B2YHGGE/ref=wms_ohs_product?ie=UTF8&psc=1

1 x 921 LEDS's for license plate lights..

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0087XOTWW/ref=wms_ohs_product?ie=UTF8&psc=1

1 x 10pk of green 194's (these were for the autometer guages)

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00ALO4BAK/ref=wms_ohs_product?ie=UTF8&psc=1

2 x for projector LED reverse lights (AMAZING) and side marker lights in the front.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00EWOZ7XU/ref=wms_ohs_product?ie=UTF8&psc=1

People may complain saying it all amazon CHINA junk but I did a few cars with these sets and only need to fix one bulb so far on someones car because I think I put it in the wrong wrong way. Hope this helps out. PM me for more information. The projector CREE lights are expensive, aside from that you get all the rest for under $50 and have tons of bulbs to spare just in case. These did the instrument cluster (all 194s) these did the courtesy lights by the foot wells (194;s) the shifter bezel lights (194's) and also the autometer lights (194's)

I didn't put the LED's in any turn signals so I did not need the resistors. If you want to run upgraded bulbs in the turn signals I would suggest the following for the front... They are a little expensive but top notch products. You can get cheaper knock offs with free shipping on Amazon but I have yet to try those... added some to my cart tho as of now

Expensive:

Luckily I'm home now... Posted up in front of the TV on a bunch of awesome meds...

12 staples in my back is exciting! The worst problem is the numb leg which doesn't listen when I tell it to do something!!! Damn leg! Gave me new meds to fix that and it made me feel like a crack head.

I did determine that I have Jerry the 11w reverse lights, now I need to move my 7W lights to the cornering lights and replace my rears with those 11W lights.

I am such a light junkie!!

I should out together kits to sell for people on the cheap... Considering I have 15+ 194's laying around still! Not to mention the variety if the 3157 bulbs I tried too...

I installed 15W HID's for reverse lights.

Are they a standard bulb or a projector? Do they take time to 'warm up' like regular HID's? Nice thing with LED's is instant on and plug and play. I noticed the projecter based LED's do wonders for distance where the standard reflector housings just throw a ton of light

Standard HID and they come on instantly.

Standard HID and they come on instantly.

Send me a link... Never seen a single HID come on instantly, all require some warm up time, hence you almost never run them in high beams.

You could take the lights apart and find the sizes... but I'll help you out.... free of charge.... :D:

Visor - 30mm festoon
Trunk light - 42mm festoon
CHMSL - 912

Some advise. I use LED panels for the rear reading lights, rear lights (long console) and 194's in place of the 912's (CHMSL). IMO replacing the trunk light is a waste. Get creative.

I agree the trunk light replacement is a waste but completes the color change.

I used 194's in everything but under hood and the license plate bulb. Luckily I had to come up with my own pod on my trilogy car as it has no hood blanket or light.

The rear reading lights take the 42mm festoons from knowledge

LED strips in the trunk are the only way to go IMHO :)

Trunk lighting is not a waste. I upgraded DOOM's trunk lighting for less than $25 (36 leds) and mine cost less than $20 (24 leds).

Reverse HID lights do not come on instantly, 20% of output within 0.8 seconds, 80% of output within 4 seconds and 100% of output within 4.8-5.0 seconds. They are an expensive little setup if we are talking about a waste of money. Cree Q5 7 & 9 watt LED lights cost half of the cheapest reverse HID kit and are instant on. These are what I recommend http://retro-solutions.net/product-info.php?3156_3056_3157_3057_3 457_4157_T20_5W_CREE_LED_Rever se_Wedge_Bulbs-pid704.html since VLEDS does not sell the spider light bulb anymore like the one I use which is blinding.

See I don't like those reverse CREE LED's because they have no directional light to light the housings.

This pic is a comparison of the 7W with no side leds and the 11w with some side leds to light housing up....

The CREE projector does focus the light more, the ones I posted throw the light out all around for a good even spread. Either way a CREE LED is a better choice.

CREE FTW!!! They do create a lot of heat so do not use them in applications where the lights will be on for extended periods of time, like running lights and ets... .
