Hoping to find one in NC or southern Va. Compass is fixed, so just radio needed.

OEM Marauder radios have the potential to lose FM reception due to some bad soldering inthe circuitry. Many of us have upraded to either aftermarket or the Escape/Mariner Audiophile radio. Not saying every Marauder radio will do it, just letting you know that it could.

Contact IwantmyMMnow! (Kyle) for the OEM headunit. He is in N.C.
As posted above, alot of us have gone with an aftermarket headunit.

What is wrong with the overhead display?
If the compass doesn't work I can fix that for you.

Yeah more info on overhead console.... The compass fix is simple... It's a stupid onboard resistor that desolder a itself. Takes. 5 seconds to fix and makes one very happy!!!!! I did this on both my first and second marauders I owned.

It does not work at all, no lights, just a blank screen. Honestly I haven't done any checking yet, just got the car yesterday. Currently there is no radio at all in it, i did wonder if it's power source ran through the radio.

Does that radio just plug and play? I'm not a fan of aftermarket radios, I prefer the factory look.

Compass is not connected to radio. Check all the fuses, but it sounds like one or more resistors replace loose or gone.

Yeah most likely one of the surface mounted resistors is loose. Super common failure. Own a soldering iron? If so it's a 2 minute fix once you get the console down. Heat the old solder up and press the resistor down. Fixed. All working once that is done. If one of the resistors is lifted the compass will not illuminate at all.

Yes, as FBM stated..plug and play..only however, if you have the trunk mounted 6 disc changer it will not work, but the escape /mariner radio is a 6 disc IN-DASH unit so it is a moot point really. Steering wheel controls work too..It also sounds better than the Marauder oem radio. I too, like the factory look
