My Xcal2 gave up on me. I need a tuner to pass emissions. I am open to an Xcal2 or Xcal3 as long as it's unlocked. If possible, I have no problem with "renting" one from someone by sending a cash deposit.

I only need this to get the EPA to quit ruining my rare happiness.

Tuner with a tune is good too as long as I can get a receipt. If you want it back that's fine too.

Open to anything and everything.

One for sale in the forum, you may be able to get it for $50 since I believe it's locked.

Going to cost at least $125.00 to get it unlocked.

Jim, do they still unlock Xcal2 tuners or did they stop that to generate more $$$ for Xcal3's?

i heard that the guy who designed the sct xcal2 left sct and took his patents/rights to the tuner with him, and if you send back the sct xcal2 they will lie and say its fried or whatever so you have to buy a sct xcal3.

if your car has a tune on it now, how will an unlocked tuner be able to reset your car to the stock parameters? or am i missing something?

I believe an Xcal 2 can be unlocked by the pro racer software. I bought one to tune my Explorer and it came locked and was able to unlock it.

Do you have a friend that has PRP Dom? I would try it for you but shipping would be prohibitive.

Not anymore, but that's ok.

What's your bad XCal doing Dom? May be repairable depending on what's wrong.

Hey am I missing something here? Not only do you need a unlocked tuner but also one with a stock tune thats fits your car. Then you can switch tune's, then if tuner you borrowed will have his and your tune. What does the owner do with all these tunes? Is he stuck with your tune on it then?
Dom you really need to get on your hand's and knee's and beg forgiveness from you know "who" then maybe, just maybe you can straighten this mess out!

To set the record straight,

it was I

who decided to end what we had. If he decides to apologize for his behavior I would welcome him back into my life, but knowing him, he will not ever say he is sorry, even if it takes him a while to get it. I even emailed him asking if he wanted $$$ to take care of this as strictly business, no replay.

He doesn't care. He's laughing at this. He's loving my misery.

KY will be interesting.

Can you PM that guy for his email?

Please?

Yeah... maybe it's best to steal clear.

Something about that picture does not give me the impression these have never been out of the box.

I thought the same, the one on the left looks like it was opened.
