While researching my issue with my intercooler not flowing, i happened to notice a trend with the 03-04 cobra guys on the svt forums.

Alot of the guys didn't notice or pay attention to their pumps and some had no flow just like how i was, and apparently if the stock cobra pump (Bosch p/n :039202202) gets an air pocket in it it will not run. i think i read one of the guys saying he hadn't looked at his coolant in about 15K!

But its a simple little thing to try if you don't have any flow. All you have to do is disconnect the pump from wherever you have it mounted, give it a couple of good shakes to loosen any air bubbles and try it out again. You DO NOT have to disconnect the coolant lines to try this!

It worked for me so i thought I'd share to avoid another member buying a replacement pump like a $200 Jabsco that was not needed.........at least not right now

The pumps can lose their prime.

I use a wet/dry vac on the return hose at the tank. Takes about 20 secs...;)

How do you do this without spilling coolant?
