Has anybody considered or done the S55 treatment that was NOT color-matched to their MM?
Just curious.... :dunno: :hmmm:

The only one I have seen that looks okay is doing a black S55 treatment on a silver MM.

Pink plasti-dip?
That would be a "sighting".

I've thought about this ^^^ , but am not in love with it.
I've been thinking about some sort of a smoke grey shade.

:puke: But thanks for mentioning plasti-dip!
Would plasti-dip work? It would give me a chance to see how it looks, and if I don't like it, peel it off.

IMO, doing just the taillights in a different color isn't enough. I feel you would need to "coordinate" the color somewhere else. But I'm not sure where....

Right now my door trim and calipers are sky blue/mustang grabber blue. I know this color will look wonky if I do the S55 with it. I'm also thinking that if I go with a non-matching color, there may be too many colors (aka Patridge Family) on my MM. As with black, I'm not in love with color matching S55 on a silver; it does look great on the others, IMO.
If I went with smoke grey S55, I could change the door trim pinstripe to match, but having my calipers grey seems a bit boring; I mean, they're pretty much that color to begin with.
I dunno...I wish there was some kind of computer thingy where I could do mix-n-match stuff with my MM. I guess the next best thing is trying out the plasti-dip...

You could try paint to do it on a picture of your MM but it'd be a very rough idea how it'd look. Plastidip would be better besides it coting money to see.
I really like my S55 silver :dunno:

I'm not saying it looks bad, just that I'll see it and think it looks good, then the next time I see it, not so much. Guess I'm just trying too hard to do something original...just kinda feel like I'm copying what's already been done.

you can get some cheap repro taillights and plasti dip those first to see how you like it, rather than going to town on your oem

How about gold...that way you got put the gold grasshopper in your grill FTW...:D......and it would be coordinated...

Silver S55 on a SB looks the best.
After mulling it over, I agree. Now that the semester is over and I have 4 weeks off, I plan to take my MM to a local paint/body shop to see how much it would cost to get my front bumper fixed up/repainted...will see if they can do the S55 and how much that will cost also. Might have to wait until spring break next year, depending on what the estimate is. I've got some other things I want to do that are higher on the priority list right now as well.
Thanks for everyone's input/suggestions!
