New goodies for the race car. This Chiseled Performance air to water intercooler and ice/water tank should decrease the air intake temperatures quite a bit. Some other changes are being made to the engine to make it stronger and more efficient.

I life when people consider the words ' stronger ( I would use Robust )' and ' Efficient ' when modifying there already built car. It simply means they know what they are doing! Nice looking gifts for an early Christmas!

That would be very difficult with a 4000 lb. car.I would to see a 8.20 next season.

I agree, even wife liked the workmanship. That will make it a lot easier when she gets the credit card bill to pay.

Very nice. A good air to water setup will always beat air to air at the track.

I agree. I don't know what the current IATs were, but when I got my IATs down a 100* (from 150*-180* the whole pass to 50*-105* the whole pass) I picked up about 9-10% more WHP. Went from trapping 131 to trapping 139. I changed rear gears and exhaust turbine, but that would only be responsible for like 3ish MPH.

I know the best ET was 8.4, what was the best trap? I bet it picks up about .2 - .3 and 3-4mph.

At 8.4 the trap speed was 160 mph. We usually run between 162 and 165 with 3:89 gears. With all the changes being made to the engine and the lower IAT's it will allow us to increase timing. We could be looking at a increase of 200 to 300 RWHP.

You're on C16 right? I know it's not an apples to apples comparison (BBC vs LS), but I it's actually went faster with 1* less timing. LS heads are in a different world. I'm on 18psi and just 11* at that boost. I haven't gotten it on the dyno yet to see where is stops picking up, but I can't imagine mine will pick up much more. And on those two runs I was talking about (131mph vs 139mph), it was on the same boost, but the 139mph was on 1* less timing than the 131. LOL.

Yes,we use c-16.But our setup is with a blow thru carb.
