I am going to have my intake elbow ported along with as much as possible on the entire blower setup .... I want a single blade versus the dual blade throttle body simply for flow efficiency improvement....

Only option it seems....

Worth it? Any and all input is appreciated! Pros and Cons....

I definitely just mis-read that as Sling Blade.

I'm sorry I don't have any input. I just wanted to tell everyone I can't read.

Dragon is the best SBTB. Flow tested by Posi and others. Next in line would be Accufab SBTB. The Dragon is more of an actual oval shape then the Accu and you would need to port match the intake elbow to make sure there is no blade binding.

I had one, but, it used a remote IAC. http://www.dragonperformance.net/600-X.htm (Don't worry about the pic on their site, it gets flipped over.)
I think with the Trilogy, you have a blocking plate for the original IAC port in the TB and with a Dragon, you can use the SBTB with NO IAC port.

Accufab SBTB:

Yeah the IAC is on the elbow on the trilogy kit.

So I need this one..

600-2
Throttle Body,
Oval w/o IAC
1996-2004
Ford Mustang GT
(4.6L 2V) w/ Dragon P/N 501-40

?

If so thanks for confirming. I will definitely have it port matched to ensure there is no binding on the intake elbow.

Also I don't need any adapter... it will bolt up but will need port matching to ensure there is no binding is all correct?

Correct. No IAC (just looked at the Trilogy manual) and port matched to prevent binding.

When I did mine, I went with the accufab single blade because it fit the Trilogy elbow exactly without modification. I held them up together and the opening of one to the other looks like they were made for each other. They lined up exactly.

I believe that if you're using the stock Ford Cobra plenum, you will require modification to use any single blade throttle body. In that scenario, you may be better off with an aftermarket plenum made for a Cobra or buying an already modified plenum.

I had an accident a couple weeks back when my accufab throttle body got stuck at WOT while the car was spinning around 50mph. Anyways car is totalled and I will be parting it out.

I agree with you 100%!!!!! Having a Trilogy in my hands for polishing, we had the owner order an Accufab TB. When we got it, I checked it out to see if I had to do any port matching and found that it's already perfectly matched.

+1 on this.

After Louisville I will be ordering some bits and doing some upgrades during the summer when I can tune for them.
