View Full Version : Idler arm issues.

I've removed my original idler arm and replacing it with Moog idler arm. I can't get the stud on the drag link to slide through the new idler arm. The stud and the hole on the idler arm look almost the same size. Has anybody had this problem and if so how did you get it to work. Thanks for your help.

I would think that most of us wouldn't have this problem... 03+ panther chassis have rack & pinion steering. I would make sure your car is off the ground in the front, that way you could move the linkage as needed to line everything up.

This question is better posted to CV.net. Marauders don't have idler arms so only those of us who have messed with the older cars will have any idea.
I don't recall the problem you're describing when I rebuilt my '97 Crown Vic years ago.

Yea my car is on a lift in my garage. I got it back together, Advance Auto delivered the wrong part. Thanks for your help
