That's right, another Marauder freebie free for all.

I have a couple extra Marauder goodies, and I am going to give them away for free. As with anything else that is too good to be true, there is a catch...............

In 25-200 words, tell me about your most memorable Christmas experience and why I should give this item to you.

The rules.........

Words are what is defined in a dictionary, not slang, text abbreviations etc..

This give away will last (1) week, at that time, a winner will be picked. If I choose to end this early, I may. So make your best entry the first time.

1 entry per customer

Don't "make up" a bunch of B.S., I can smell it a mile away and it excluded several entrants last time.

You can only post up in this thread.

I pick the winner

I won't bump my thread daily

I pay the shipping to the lower 48

It cannot possibly be any better than this, a quality part for completely -0- cost.

Post away................

The prizes................

This one is easy for me. First Christmas in the house and we had all the family, that was in town over for dinner. It was the first year in many that some Family came in. Brought out the good plate sttings and set the table for fine dining. It was a very good Christmas indeed...no presents were exchanged because all that was done the day before. Just the family, food and fun!!!

Ehh why not. My most memorable experience was from Christmas day like 10-12 years ago. I think it was my first year driving. We were coming home from somewhere I can't remember where and hit a huge snow storm. Highway was down to one lane, there was like 2 feet of snow on the road and no plows. Cars were daisy chained together following one another doing like 30 mph. Visibility was down to nothing.

For some reason that stuck in my head and every time we get a storm someone always brings up the Christmas story where we almost got stuck on a highway in a storm.

Granted I don't think I've seen that much snow on the highway since.

Oh and I am not a ******.

Spent Christmas Eve and Christmas Day last year in Hospice alone with my father in law as he and I shared his last lucid moments and then his last few breaths.
I'll never forget.

Where can anyone buy a key ring like that? I've searched on internet(e-bay and other places) for them. Found them on e-bay but none had the God's Head logo only the Marauder inscription . Not really trying to win because I got a Desert Storm Veteran license plate frame along with my military branch (Army) license plate. But for the Christmas experience-I remember in the early '60's when aluminum silver Christmas trees with multi-colored glass bulbs were normal, we also had one of the rotating 4 color (red, blue, yellow & white) round lights that turned the tree into whatever color was shining on it at the time. Me and my younger brother and 2 sisters must have knocked that tree over 10 times by playing in the light as it rotated around, all while bending branches and breaking glass bulbs in the process. Now the youngsters on here may not know about this but back in the day parents could actually punish their kids for doing wrong. you know what comes next, no not time out, no not go to your room.. Us older mature guys know about getting that butt tore up with a belt or switch....ahhh, the good old days. Long, but I told you I'm not trying to win.

LOL...glad I only saw it on TV.. I went to public school with their "Board of Education"... seemed like a boat oar with holes drilled in it...then cut down to a manageable length to swing...guess all this has been removed from schools now, that's why we got all these terrible a$$ kids roaming around the hallways

One Christmas I will always remember: I was maybe 7-8 years old and nagged my mom for months to get me my first bike. I was pencil drawing them, looking through catalogs, hinting and begging non stop. She just kept telling me no, too much money, what else do you want. By the week leading to Christmas, I had given up. I believed she really could not get me a bike. So I stopped the begging, and asked for model cars to build, or a standing easel to put my drawing pad on.
Christmas day, many inches of snow outside, all the kids were opening presents.
I did get a cool model car, clothes (of course) and a big one - the sweet wooden easel to draw with. Awesome! After we finished, she started cleaning up wrapping paper, and asked me to bring a pile outside to the burn barrel. I started out the porch, there's my dad and 2 older sisters - and my new bike! Yup, a purple, banana seat, big rear tire bike, so bad ass! I couldn't believe she did it, and my family all knew - how loved I was for sure. Well, I tried for hours to ride that bike in the snow, but finally gave up. I pushed it into the basement and spent hours cleaning it, getting ready to ride, just staring at it.
Even at that young age I appreciated both the gift, and the family that so lovingly thought that I deserved it.
That moment set the way for my life path - bikes, and later cars - and a close family that cares for each other always.
Over 200 words, but that's my story and why I get any gift = appreciation and giving back feel good.

Four years ago my oldest daughter and I had a major disagreement that caused her to leave the house at age 19. The year before I got a gag piece of coal for Christmas from her and the year she left I got nothing. It tore me up inside and I spent many nights unable to sleep. As the years passed the problem boyfriend left and her grades in college got better. This year she graduated from college, got a job in her field of study and is looking to purchase a home. Between her working while going to school and family we managed to help her pay for all her schooling so she finished without student loans. At one point she suggested I sell the Marauder to help her out financially. Fast forward to last Christmas... She spent Christmas morning with us and her sister. While we all know what happened in the past as a father the best gift was us operating like a family again. She has even told me she understands now why I could not sell the Marauder to help her out financially. I hope no one has to go thru an event like this to appreciate how important family is!

Good post request.. It really made me think about the question asked and made me realize that impressionable times that happen in your live don't have a calendar. I do remember one that comes to mind for me. My uncle Ray (God rest his sole) surprisingly, showed up to my sisters Christmas get together with a Santa Clause outfit unknowingly to everyone. Including his wife, my aunt. My niece and nephew at the time, were between the ages of 4-6. My sister had them out of wedlock and extremely young. He showed up with presents for everyone and the look and excitement in the kids was priceless. And everyone was in shock as well. This was a few days before Christmas when it occurred. This was so out of character for my uncle. He was a Korean war vet and always talked about the Navy and how every young man should join and see the world. His other passion was enduro motocross and trail riding and his motorcycle club. He would talk of nothing other than these topics and would always seclude himself and not want to be bothered by the kids ever. Of course, unless you talked of these topics then, you got his interest. Here is where the story gets memorable. Earlier that week he had went to the doctor and found out that he was in the late stages of lung cancer and had only a short time to live. It was early February he was **** up in bed and passed away at home at the care of hospice. He worked at the Navy yard in Connecticut as a welder and was always inhaling toxic gases building ships. That is one of my best memories of Christmas.

My favorite memory of Christmas is; 2 years ago when me and my family had to set up our Christmas tree in the middle of November just before I deployed to Afghanistan. Sad and the best time all at once.

Best Christmas was when my Dad gave me and my brother bb guns. We set up targets in the front room and Shot dad in both his legs. The bb guns disappeared.

I was born in '59 and grew up in the south, and I can't say exactly what year this happened, but I suspect '64. My Dad was a WWII Marine Veteran and had been in the Pacific theater, he was a pretty hard man, and like many from that generation was somewhat racist.
We left after my Dad got off work in our '60 Olds Dynamic 88 traveling from Tennessee to my Grandmothers house in Alabama for Christmas. On a dark state highway somewhere in north Alabama we came up on a car with flat tire. The family was trying get the tire off, they were striking book matches for light, they had no flashlight, no spare tire, and they were black. My Dad pulled the spare tire from our trunk, and left it and his flashlight with them, he asked if they could to leave them in the weeds and he would pick them up on our way home. On the trip home as we neared where he had asked them to leave the spare and flashlight, my Dad said something to the effect that there were no need to stop they wouldn't be there, but he did anyway, and to his disappointment they both were. I like to remember my Dad by the compassion he showed that night, it showed me he wasn't as hard or as racist as he might have you believe, it also taught me that doing the right thing is the right thing.

In December '08, I was fumbling my way through replacing the timing guides and tensioners on my '02 Marquis. I'd put everything back together and started the car, only to realize that I'd created a very hilarious oil leak, and was pretty pissed off. Around this time, a pal (Darkside) PM'd me and said he was selling his Marauder and buying a G8 GXP. He said he'd sell his Marauder for a price I couldn't refuse. I went out to his house on Christmas Day and test drove the car. The next day, we were in the credit union doing a title transfer and loan agreement. I successfully fixed the Marquis the day after, but the Marauder was the bigger victory.

It might not be the most touching story, but it was the Christmas I picked up the best car I've ever had.

Why should I receive the item? Because I really only want the keychain. Give the license plate frame to someone else and double the Christmas cheer.

My favorite Christmas is when i was about 6 or 7. Still believed in santa. I woke up after being sleep less than an hour and caught my parents bringing in my toys. I hid and watched. It was all good until my older sister broke one of my cars to my Super Duper Double Looper electric racetrack. I came from under the table crying and surprised everyone. I was double disappointed. No Santa and no extra car to race with. :-(.

I should win the items simply because I would greatly appreciate and be proud to add a keychain to my key fob and show it off often.

All kidding aside it would be beyond absurd to have that car back at this point.

No garage to keep it preserved in & what I more desperately need is a daily driver type car.

Course' that's much easier said than done with nothing but pocket lint.

But hey bewteen that & the near 24/7 physical pain I've been in for almost a year ... who's complaining ?.
