So I am getting a Lincoln Mark VIII motor that is broken down and the block is painted Ford racing blue. Engine is complete (just heads removed and suck but still assembled). I paid $300 for it. It had 12,000 miles on it when it was removed. I trust the source as its one of my father mechanics at the shop the family has owned for 40 years...
Please see signature for current modification lists.... I know I will need 60lb injectors and a new fuel pump setup to support this, still would like to retain return-less if possible.
Target is 550-600 rwhp on my trilogy (soon to be ported along with entire blower intake elbow and throttle to single throttle). Switching to a JLT to match the new MAF whcih I think may not be enough, but at least its 90mm.
What parts from my current engine do I need to carry over? Obviously all the supporting trilogy bits....
My questions are these.... PUMP GAS!!! 93 Octane
1) Can the trilogy support this power level? What boost level 18-20psi?
2) What pulley combo should I run?
3) I plan on running a killer chiller to get intake temps down....
Now the more important part of this topic...
4) What bottom end parts should I get?
5) What heads should I use?
6) Do I need to get a different cam?
I can find some of the info but looking for the information from the wealth of knowledge here!!!! Where should I look for parts? Any specific site best for this? I don't expect to even need to bore over the motor as it has only 12,000 miles on it. Guy was tearing it down to paint to put into one of his projects as a stock engine but sold the car off...
