I'm not sure if its been mentioned here but I just wanted to let everyone know about the Motorcraft Custom Bright Metal Cleaner.
I recently bought my wife a nice used 2008 Lincoln MKZ that has chrome wheels. They had some brake dust on the fronts that wouldn't come off with regular soap and water. I bought some of the above cleaner and it works great! Cleaned the wheels right up and makes them shine bright.
The Motorcraft part number is ZC-15 and you get a pretty big bottle. I ordered it from Amazon.

I always wondered why people even used wheel cleaner instead of regular soap and water.

I use a cleaner by chemical brothers... Diable help I dillute it for spraying. It's amazing. ph neutral and safe on all wheels.
Wheels clearners can be statically charged to attract brake dust to wash away. . Soap doesn't do that.

Its almost like a liquid wax consistancy. Easy on and easy off. I cant be 100% about Marauder wheels but it worked good on my chrome wheels. I just checked and its listed in the Marauder owners guide.

Sonax full effect wheel cleaner works great. Smells like cat piss though.

Marauder wheels have a clearcoat over top of the aluminum finish, if you wouldn't use a "wheel cleaner" on your paint then you should use them on your wheels. Chrome wheels do not have a clearcoat on them, personally I use diluted Simple Green to clean my chrome Taurus wheels and has worked fine over the past several years.

As stated above, our wheels are clearcoated..I use the same carwash solution that I wash the car with .I just use a soft brush...Shine like new...

i think the problem isn't keeping wheels clean once they are clean. it's when you get a used set that have that coat of filth adhered to them that is the problem.
