Just installed the bar and it made a major difference in cornering. Vey pleased with it.
Trying to decide whether to do the front. The OEM front looks very beefy as it
It is the Ultimate edition 05 with only 53 K on it. I replaced the rear air bags with springs and HD shocks. There was a leak somewhere in the system and I wanted to firm it up anyway.

You should be aware that sway bars should complement each other front and rear. Just increasing the rear you have probably induced oversteer, but won't observe this during everyday driving.

You should install the complementary front bar to balance the cars handling, something you won't realize until you push the car into a slide.

A stiff rear sway bar and a not-stiff-enough front sway bar will lead to excessive oversteer and can be dangerous.

I installed both front and rear sway bars. It's still a little bit more tail happy than stock, but I am satisfied and it feels well composed. KYB shocks should help, once they arrive.

Also, the Addco front swaybar is without a doubt bigger than the stock swaybar.

Yes, I also have F/R tubular Addcos and other suspension upgrades (see SIG). It oversteers slightly, so I would be concerned with the increased oversteer of the stock front bar.

the input. I appreciate the guidance and will be ordering the front bar now. I am most concerned about overall safe handling, particularly when I travel at higher speeds on the mountainous interstates in W. Va. on my way to and from Erie, Pa. Though a great travel car, it did leave a lot on the table in terms of handling on the way to and from Gatlinburg this summer.

Thanks again, Dave

You definitely need an aftermarket upgrade of the upper and lower rear control arms. You'll feel a bigger difference in handling than you felt with the sway bar(s). I prefer the Metco control arms.

I disagree. While the Metco and Heinous offerings are superior to stock, sway bars definitely make a bigger difference. That is atleast true compared to the stock NO or 17mm rear swaybar and the smallest available sway bar on Grand Marquis (non-HPP) cars.

On my 2000 MGM, I noticed right away an improvement between the stock and aftermarket control arms. On my 06 MGM, I did not notice a difference.

Did Ford upgrade MGM the control arms in 03 with the overall change in suspension configuration. On my 99, I was able to easily change the front shocks.......not so much now on my 2005. Dave
