Makes good power, fast, fun and really nice.... but I still want my Marauder back. Wish I could track down the guy in TN I sold it to. Id give him back the $14,500 gave me for it in a heartbeat

I know right. Im a ford guy for sure but this Ol G8 got some serious power going on. Maruader was easier to work on though. All Ive done to it is a mid-pipe, Magnaflow axel back, H&R springs springs. Going for a tune rotofab CAI and long tubes this year. Should make 400+. We will see. Every time I see a MM I die a little inside. My daughter reminds me regularly how much she loved that car

they both fall into that niche range of vehicles. More exclusiveness in the MM but more parts availability in the G8. Where the MM has the more dumbed down muscle feel the G8 has the classy creature comfort approach with a modern interior. The G8 is much faster out of the box and handles much better too. Parts are easy to come by and there are a lot of aftermarket parts made specifically for it. As much as I loved my MM, and miss it the G8 is a better all around car. More power, more room, better MPG ( mine has bolt ons only no tune yet and gets 18mpg avg). Its the LS2 setup, which has that stupid DOD cylinder shut down crap as the only real draw back, but that can be tuned out. Trans is the 4L80 which is bullter proof and the sport mode and manual modes are a blast to play with.

Finding one of these with the 6.2 and a manual is one of my fantasies...hard to find though. Oh well..my next ride will probably be a C63 AMG, but I will never replace my Marauder.

ahhthe GXP. they can be had but for around 35k. good choice on the AMG too. gnarly piece of machinery
