I had new upper ball joints installed.Went to have my car aligned..The machine info in it's data base doesn't have the same specs that the factory specs are..Forget about Carfixers specs, they didn't even know what I was talking about when I mentioned the "flags"...I had the factory specs in my hand and the machine,a new computerized job,had the specs different..Not a lot but,not quite there. They also give a range such as 0.0-0.20...I was at 2 different places and nobody could get it right...One tire was mounted backwards so,I had them flip it around...After I get new front tires I'll bring it to my regular guy who usually does a good job...I was out of town when the ball joint went....So,the alighnment was being done in Fl.

Find a place that specializes in alignments. I found one and have been very pleased with the results. I didn't go with Carfixer's specs. Mainly they just removed the alignment tabs and corrected the horrible camber angle that wears the tires so badly.

Printout carfixers specs with the explanation and take to a reputable shop.

Any recommendations for alignment shops that are familiar with our vehicles in metro detroit area? I just installed Nittos and need to get the fronts aligned.

Any alignment shop will do, just make sure that you give them carfixers specs. If they cant do it, take it somwhere else. The flags need to be removed to adjust one of the parameters. Just mention that if they say something about not being able to adjust to the specs.

Thanks for the information. I was just looking for a local shop that someone already has positive experience with and can recommend.
