Anyone know of a clutch assist device for older mechanical linkages such as my 68 XL or 1970 Impala?? Not a replacement for the oem, but a parallel system that reduces the pedal effort. Electrical or vacuum.

I would see if there are clutch companies (like Centerforce) that make a pressure plate that is light on pedal effort.

It could probably be converted to a hydraulic set-up.

Yes, Centerforce pp's are rated for the same grabbing pressure but are lighter on disengagement force. I have a 3600lb clutch set if you want if for a Chevy BB :D. Had it made many yrs back for one of the Chevelle's. Broke my pivot ball stud on the block. Had to use two feet when at stop lights. Way to heavy, but grabbed like you know what. Went to a Centerforce after that and really liked the clutch. Also try these guys http://www.hotrodhydraulics.com/ They make conversion kits for many makes/yrs of cars.
