Hey fellas I had a buddies 01 Grand Marquis in the shop the other day needed a fuel pump. I sold him the assembly and have his old one. I got to looking at it for my eaton swap for ease of installation and less down time. It appears that the 01 Grand Marquis is a return fuel system. Otherwise the entire hanger assembly looks pretty close to the Marauder assembly. I plan on buying the Aeromotive pump and upgrading the wiring. I just need to know if I can use this hanger and modify it to fit my needs. Obviously I will delete the return line and maybe use that opening to run the larger gauge wire for the pump. But what about the sending unit and harness? Is it the same? Any help would be great. Thanks guys.

Check out the AEM 320lph pump. Pulls less amps, still flows plenty for any eaton swap MM and is $60 cheaper. :)

I wouldn't worry about switching hats. Swapping the pump out of the hat shouldn't take you more than 10-15 minutes. You'll spend more time trying to get the 01' hat to work and modifying it.

I appreciate the info. It was just sitting there at work so I grabbed it.
