Air suspension light came on and now the back end is sagging. Is the relay a common issue? What should I do 1st?

Please and thank you for any assistance

check to see if ride height sensor is still attached to watts link..it is on the drivers' side of axle..you'll need to jack up, crawl under to be able to find it. I would start there first

The relay is not a common issue, although the ride height sensor, the compressor, and the air bags are, in that order.

If the ride height sensor is gone would the compressor sound weak ? I checked the compressor and it looks pretty corroded and makes a faint noise when the ignition is turned forward

I'm thinkning if the ride height sensor is gone then the compressor won't kick on at all. (someone will correct me if my thinkning is wrong) It sounds like you have one of the other situations..I would still check for the ride height sensor just so you can eliminate it from the possibilities.

Does the compressor come on when you start the car? It may have failed. It can sit in a pool of water and eventually craps out. If it needs to be replaced drill more larger holes underneath where it sits for better drainage.

My suspension light came on awhile back and it turn out to be the compressor. Another issue this past cold spell caused the light to come back on. The extreme cold weather from the week before froze the oil in the compressor. I blew hot air into the compartment where the compressor is with a hair blower for about ten minutes to thaw it out.

Just an FYI..

WARNING!!!

Turn off the air suspension switch before jacking up the rear end.

Im not positive, but i dont think our compressors have oil. What may have happened was moisture in the electrical connection and the hair drier evaporated it.

Check the switch in the trunk, maybe you bumped it somehow and turned it off,if it's turned off the warning light will stay lit.

Did you check the ride height sensor on the Watts link? If it's not connected the compressor won't turn on.

it tough to get under there especially when it's this cold

Unless you don't mind wasting money check it first. Sometimes the arm to the sensor pops off.

Arnott sells compressors too, and i dont think any are better or worse. Just go with the one you can get cheapest.

Arnott FTW.

Dealer cost = ludicrous.
