Just remove the tint from your front windows.

There are millions of suv's and minivans running around with heavily tinted rear windows from the factory.

In maryland..sedans and SUV are classified different for tint laws there..sedans is 35% on all windows and SUV is any darkness after/rear of driver and passenger windows according to link earlier posted

I understand why they have laws against tint, but the laws dont understand that the mm is a dying breed with not many replacement parts available anymore. Im not mad at the officer for doing his job, but now im in search of the loopholes to get around the damn thing.

If you were to get a prescription from a Dr. I cannot help to wonder if that would be questioned considering the script would be after getting cited?

50% is the legal limit in Virginia on the front Windows. 35% on the rear windshield and rear side Windows

My logic mebot is that when the interior fades and deteriorates from the uv rays, im not going to be able to replace things oem. I just went to the eye doctor and $60 later, im still screwed. $60 bucks and i am pissed! On the brighter side, literally, atleast other drivers will be able to see my beautiful face now.

Exactly, all the people that say don't break the law, but when it comes to that or removing catalytic converters or doing burnouts here and there no one says anything.

HIDs in our headlights aren't as bad as in the fully chrome GM housings, but the fog lights scatter the light so much, I can't believe I was never pulled over when driving with them on.

Oh, and I can't wait for the spring as I will get limo tint all around on my car from the horrible 35%.

That is why you get 35% TOTAL tint.

You are correct about the HIDs......... But I chose to do it..... If I get a ticket for it I deserve it.... I won't be whining about it since I chose to break the law.

The same as you jim, if the relay malfunctions, you replace it with another $4 relay!....i guarantee my solder joints too! All i ask for is parts cost and actual shipping costs, my time(20 minutes ) doing it is free. Consider it me giving back to the community, and i dont charge for the solder or my tools wear and tear, the butane for my soldering iron, or the gas and time it takes to get to a post office. Im easy like Sunday mornings ... :D

Check to see if a PO can sign off the tint. When I get tint tickets I "may" have one of my buddies sign it off and mail it back in. If you dont know someone who would do that for you; just strip the front windows and retint after the inspection. Should be about $50

Lol, i thought about the doors, i asked rich how much tint he had....no luck. Its gone now, signed off by the repair station and in the mail.....

And fbm, don't roll those eyes at me mister, i guess people would rather spend $75 with you, then a total of $20 total(parts plus shipping to me and back) with me...people can still choose you if they want the lifetime warranty, or they can choose me and I'll tell them what $5 relay to buy.

In CA the tint laws are pretty clear cut....you can have just a little on the front doors, and as much as you want in the rear. Those laws are promptly ignored. I've had a 5/20 combo on every car I've owned for the last 25 years or so and only gotten 1 ticket in all that time. Here, you have to do something REALLY stupid to get a tint ticket.

Actually, this is close to a non-drastic solution. Get some used OEM glass & channel, swap, get inspected, swap back and save non-tinted glass in case needed again.
