HAVE DRONING PROBLEM

WELL I HAVE A PROBLEM ALSO
I installed KOOKS LONG TUBE HEADERS AND HIFLOW CATS XPIPE AND MAGNAFLOWS WITH CONE TIPS.
THE CAR IS TRILOGY #230 .SC'ED
THE PROBLEM IS THAT IT DRONES REALLY BAD TO THE POINT THAT THE BOSS (MY WIFE SAY'S TO GET IT FIXED BEFORE I RIDE IN IT AGAIN.)
I AGREE THE DRONE IS REALLY BAD EVEN WHEN I TURN OFF MY HEARING AIDS.
ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT I CAN DO..

Those are the quietest (drone free) mufflers you can get IMHO.

Get a set of the above - if it's still not quiet enough - add a Muffled X Pipe - Magnaflow Tru-X perforated core.

Reinstall the dampers (coke-can sized weights at mid-length).

Did you extend the exhaust tips about 1 in. passed the rear bumper?

This will help to reduce the drone.

I extended my Megs 4 in exhaust tips passed the bumper and I'm using Borla mufflers.

No drone whatsoever.

I had that irritating drone when I had my P71 with Flowmaster 40s and Megs 4 in exhaust tips.

Happy that I spent a little extra $ and got Borlas for the Rauder.

Extending the tips out fixed my drone issue as well. I run Kooks with high flow cats, Magnaflow mufflers, and the res deleted 4" tips. No drone.

They work great don't they? They are cheap mufflers too. I think $35 each? Mine lasted 3+ years...

LMAO thats my new plate. It should be here soon.

I am pretty sure that I paid more than $35 bucks for them but I would have to dig my receipt from Summit. I looked around when I bought them and that was the cheapest place at the time when I installed them. I love them though.

I extended mine 1 3/4 inch back, longer than stock. Dropped the drone quite a bit. Still have loud magnaflows & no dampeners, but do have the factory tip inserts. Wife says its loud but happy to ride in it.

Well yesterday went to Ricks muffler shop in st Augustine rt 1 and convinced myself that I really liked the Cone 4" tips so we cut two pieces of tubing 18" long and added them to the pipe inside the tips leaving about 4" from the end of the cone tips. we then welded them to the existing pipe then went for test dive . I believe that I lost about 20% of the Drone noise not the note but the volume I think I can live with it for now...

If that turns out to not be enough, get a stereo shop to Dynamat the floors. That will get rid of all the drone.

I dynamatted my entire interior, including the entire floor (pita to do correctly btw) I just got front cats replaced rears cut off magnaflow mufflers and Megs res delete tips put on and there is quite a drone, even with the tips extended out 1.5" I'm going to look into finding some of these dampers other members have

If momma ain't happy, consider extending your tip a little further. Exhaust tip I mean.

That may be sound advice! Well here's a pic of how far mine are extended, to those who say extending the tips out fixed the drone do y'all have them out farther?? And sorry for the thread jack steps :D perhaps this will help some more though
