Originally, this car was listed for $5,000. I saw the car, but I couldn't convince myself to buy it even at that price. Today I saw the ad listing the car for $2,800  and almost drove there to buy it on the spot. I called the owner and said how come you didn't tell me you were going to drop the price? He said I told you I would sell it to you for $4,800. Then I said, yes, but did you know your add says $2,800?
He had no idea of the mistake. I concluded by saying if you want $2,800 I'll buy it. He said no.

Obviously not a 2002.

I am sure he'll change the ad, but here is the link anyway. http://honolulu.craigslist.org/oah/cto/4274211946.html

If it really only has 110 miles on it I'll buy it for whatever price he wants.

I can't put much faith in a guy who doesn't know what year the car is, doesn't realise he's asking $2,000 dollars less than he thinks and doesn't know how many miles are on it. :shake:

I can't remember exactly, but I think the car has about 112k miles. I did consider buying it, but decided against it after much consideration. I can elaborate if you are interested. There was another thread where I asked folks to talk me out of buying it.

I know. Trust me, I had the same reaction the first time I saw the ad. I would say mostly I was uncomfortable buying a car with rust bubbles on the roof when all indications are that is an expensive fix. And I didn't feel right doing a temporary fix and then reselling the vehicle. Things just didn't make financial sense to me. As much as I love Marauders, I wouldn't fix them for a loss. Here is a link elaborating on the condition of the car. http://www.mercurymarauder.net/forums/showpost.php?p=1356754&postcount=1
