Well...gonna do it.....just got myself a vortech setup.... anyone wanna venture a guess on what I might be able to do in the 1/4 once I ad the following to my current setup and calm the gears down a little? Gonna add;
Vortech V1 - T trim (polished) w/ mounting bracket
42lb injectors
90mm maf
Bov
AFM power pipe
8 and 10lb pulleys(probably go with the 10lb pulley)
And of course if all goes well, a dyno tune....
Oh yeah....and I'm finally adding my eddy intake, rails and 6061 elbow too
I HOPE to have it done by the time the track/shows/meets start

Dude that's awesome! Congrats! My guess is low 11s, possibly high 10s if you can dyno and lose as much weight as possible.

THanks....I don't know about being that quick....but I would definitely be happy with a mid to low 12..... Gonna try and stay around 10-12 lbs
At least until I save some more money up for a bottom end...

I just wanna have it be fun, surprise a lot of people, and get a lot of attention at show/meets....not trying to break any records...or break anything for that matter...lol

What gear ya got? I would leave them in there. It takes some RPM for the centri to get going.

Just depends on how long it takes to get it all on, and get the dyno tune...gonna work on it in spare time, and that isn't exactly always in abundance.....lol

Well, decided to go ahead and build a Teskid forged bottom end to throw my current top end on, to go with the Vortech...Just gotta decide on the pistons and what CR I wanna run now..

Ha! yeah...I hear ya...I meant, just trying to figure out what each piston option would be CR wise with the combination I am using... Trying to stay in the 9.X:1 area. I think 10:1 would be too high
For reference, I went 11.60's back in 04 with an S-Trim at 10psi.
That was with race gas and a 3500 stall converter.
You are gonna make some serious power with the T Trim.
Headers, 4000 stall converter and 4:10's are a must.
(I see you have a CV, but it shouldn't be that different than an MM)

I currently have a 3600 stall, and 4.56 gears. I think I am gonna back my gears down to 4.30. or maybe even go back to 4.10 like i was. I am worried the 4.56's might be a little too much gear. I am gonna run the 3600 stall, and see how it does. I already have longtube headress, and free flowing exhaust, along with stage 2 CNC ported heads, and compxe270ah cams....though I MIGHT look into trading my cams for blower cams.....just depends on what the gain would be, because I sure do like the way these 270's idle...

10.1comp with a meth kit and 93 octane and you are good to go! Plus you will make a lot more torque which is what moves these heavy cars.

I'm not sure i wanna mess with the meth kits..... I like the idea of 10:1...but aren't the meth kits constant, reoccurant mainenance?

No it's not, the only thing that may need maintenance every few years is the meth pump, otherwise there is nothing more to maintain.

Depends on how much you step on the go peddle. I myself would keep compression low to be pump gas friendly. Cause you know what happens when you start going fast.... you want to go faster.... so you up the boost more.;)
You already have the gears and converter to get the car moving.
I've ran meth for atleast 6 years and never had a problem. If you need more meth capacity just get a bigger tank. I run a snow kit.
