So, ever since I bought my MM, I've had 2 center caps loose. It's bothered me for quite some time. Well, a couple of days ago I bought new tires, and the one cap seems even loser. I'm afraid I'm gonna loose it here soon. Does anyone know where to get the piece that holds the cap against the rim? Or maybe have some idea on how to Jerry-rig it?

What I did for mine when the were loose was
1 Inspect for cracks on tabs the hold it in place...if cracking get another
2 remove wire spring
3 sit in hot water to soften the plastic
4 gently expand tabs outward
5 immediately immerse in cool water
6 gently expand and reinstall spring
this worked real good for me

Could find an internal snap ring to fit in there, that would tight her up ;)

New caps are about $36 ea from tasca auto parts :dunno:

Thanks Vince, that's some good info. Honestly, I haven't taken the wheels off yet, so I have no idea how they look. I assume there's broken tabs, and quite a few. On one of them, I can actually see the other side. That's not good. Plus, they make a lot of noise when I go thru a drive-thru. Click Klak, Click Klak, it's very annoying! Thankfully MOTOWN helped me out, and I wont have to hear that Click Klak again.
