The black piece that surrounds the shifter stick is actually a sleeve that you can slide down. When you slide it down, there will be two small torx screws on the shifter stick. Tighten these up and your shifter shouldn't wiggle. Also make sure you don't accidently unplug the OD cable (it's white).
