At this time the track is out for me. My car went on the dyno Tuesday nite to check out the race tune with 12 gallons of C16 race fuel in it. The car didnt perform at all with it and it lost 50 plus RWHP over the street tune. Now I have to run it out, put 93 oct fuel in it , the tuner has to check out the tune & make sure everything is ok ,run it out ,then put in Q16 race fuel because it burns at a lower temp. The tuner told me that C16 race fuel needs higher engine temps & Q16 works better on low engine temp. My motor runs too cool for C16.

Interesting, I would think that the car could make more Hp on C16 than on 93. It should be all in the tune.
Looking around it appears that Q16 is capable of bringing out 30-45 hp gains on a 1100 hp motor over C16
So on yours maybe 15-20 hp? But it requires 6% higher fuel flow to get the most out of it.

Q16 is also leaded and I would think our O2 sensors would develop issues with it, I'm not sure but it makes sense.

I stopped by the shop and spoke to them about the problems I'm having. They are backed up at least 1 1/2 weeks. So my marauder has a nice quite place in the garage till then.

C16 and Q16 are leaded race fuels. When used in a street car they will cause a lot of problems with your O-2 sensors and your catalytic converters.

C16 and Q16 are leaded race fuels. When used in a street car they will cause a lot of problems with your O-2 sensors and your catalytic converters. The car has a fully built motor everything new with a street performance tune & a race tune. . No cats with new O-2 sensors. C16 needs higher temps to burn well & Q 16 burns at a lower temp & you should gain a few extra H.P. with it also. Thank you for replying I hope to have it checked out real soon.
