Convoy to Looseville?

Just simply getting the ball rolling on this. From Asheville, its right at 5hrs to get to the Looseville hotel. That Thursday (3rd) I have 3 classes; 930-1045, 11-1215, & 3-430. I plan on missing my afternoon class since we will have taken an exam on Tuesday and will be starting on new material that day. In my 11-1215 class, the professor allows us to miss 3 classes during the semester without any impact on our grade, and there aren't any papers due or exam that week, so I can probably skip that class as well. In my 930-1045 class, we are scheduled to take an exam this day, so I will have to go to this class.

In a nutshell, I can be ready to roll by 11am. If you think you'll be coming through Asheville around this time, lemme know. We could meet for an early/quick lunch and hit the road, or just meet up and hit the road and grab lunch later.

Hellz yeah! Lemme know when you're in town so we can get together for some beers and whatnot. Asheville has 15 micro-breweries now and that number is expected to top 20 this summer. I never was much of a beer drinker, but that has changed over the past 6 months...lotsa good brew to be had here. I plan on bringing a couple/tree cases of local stuff with me to Looseville.

Think you could pack about 50 gallons of gas in your trunk since it's 25-30 cents/gal cheaper down there? ;)

I would guess that folks from NC will take I-40 and folks from SC will take I-26 to get to L-ville; since both meet here in Asheville, just seems like a good location to meet up. Russ and I did last year, and we only encountered torrential downpours, snow, and dense fog...:rolleyes:

Appreciate the offer guys, but I'm a point A to point B type of driver, plus I doubt I'll have the extra time needed to make a detour into WV.

I will be leaving Wheeling, Wv and taking I-70 West to I-71 South at Columbus , Ohio and Going South from there. Making a pit stop in Cincinnati to pick up my brother in law then back on the road. Gonna try to make it in time for German food.

My how time flies....

Originally I was planning on hitting the road at 11am Thursday because I had an exam in my 930 class that morning. However, since we've missed 5 days of classes due to snow, the exam has been pushed back to next week, so now I plan to leave Asheville around 930-10am that morning.

If you'll be coming thru Asheville on your way to Looseville, post up what time you think you'll be coming through and we'll see if we can have a small convoy.
