I'm going to mount a third gauge in place of the cig lighter. I bought a set of the Auto Meter 2234 Angle rings. Not sure if I really need them, but I thought I would give them a try to see how they look. I know that at least the 3rd gauge needs some kind of adapter plate.

Any links and tips on how to do the job right would be appreciated.

Thanks!

I put a transmission fluid temp gauge in that spot. I did have to modify the back side of the pod and the gauge mounting hardware, and my fabrication skills are mediocre, but if I can do it, so can you. :)

Use the angle ring or the gauge pod will look like Marty Feldman.

I used a PVC coupler, I cut off the angle I needed, painted it flat black.

Set the angle ring in place, draw a circle, cut.
Not hard.

Lots of pics there which shows that you will need the angle ring to complete the installation.

I'll have the air fuel ratio, boost and fuel pressure on the A pillar and real oil pressure, trans temp and voltage on the console.

Can you do a power point on this? I don't get it.

There are many ways to skin a cat. I thought someone might have a better, cooler or more professional way to complete it than other methods. Always options.

Thank you! This is the kind of useful information I was looking for. I see that I will indeed need the angle ring for the third gauge on the console. I'll have two extras if anyone needs one since they come in a 3 pack.
That install looks great.
