Hey gang-
Does anyone know of a reputable shop here in Chicago that can install my front o2 sensors. I was told yesterday from another mechanic that the driver side manifold bung that holds the o2 sensor is stripped. So they could not remove the damgaged one. To me it sounded like they caused the problem. I may just purchase some headers but as of now I need this repair to hold me over till I get some.
Its a daily driver so kinda need the repair ASAP before the Louisville meet. Thanks guys

I could take a look at it this weekend probably. Worst case, replace the manifold, but something tells me it's fine. Could even chase the threads with an 18mm tap (if you buy it :) ) I'd have to look and see if I still have any manifolds if need be. I had a few sets laying around, not sure if I pitched them or not?
Probably just really rusty because how would they know the threads are bad if the old one is still in? If they were totally stripped, you would be throwing a code from it leaking.

This.
Oh and apply heat when removing the 02 sensor if it doesn't want to come free.

+1 & liberal amounts of PB Blaster. Try to remove or break it loose when hot.
