While looking for a set of cam covers to have hydrodipped /powder coated on svtp, I have seen "B head cam covers" and "C head cam covers" for sale. Are there any actual differences between the covers themselves? I am aware that the ports and flow rates of the heads vary but don't believe this changes the actual size of the head; just the way it's ported.
Thanks!

Could one be Marauder / Aviator and one be Mustang? Difference would be PCV hookups?

I think one was a MK VIII and the other was a terminator.

The PCV ports on most B head valve covers are not optimal for C head intakes.
The PCV inlet and outlet bungs on the B head valve covers are located in the upper center of the valve cover which interferes with the C head upper intake/throttle body location. C head and B head valve covers are interchangeable meaning they will both fit either head. Most B head valve covers use plugs and wires, while all C head valve covers use COPs. COP MarkVIIIs are B heads with essentially C head covers but the PCV ports are both at the rear of the valve covers so if that works for you then that is great. Pretty sure the C head Cobra/Mach covers have the driver rear/pass front PCV bung location
