That about sums up my first 2 days with my new MM. I had test drove 2 before but over 300 miles since my purchase is quite another story. Not mustang fast but not far behind does not feel lika a car of 2 tons. Great handling and braking. Mercury has given us excellent raw material to play with and improve upon in our own way. Love the rack and pinion steering much improved over my 97 CV. I am a very happy owner and since this is my only car it will be enjoyed every day.

"not Mustang fast"

Well, like Marauders... most Mustangs weren't finished at the factory until just a few years ago. The buyer still had to supply gears/exhaust/shifter/sub-frames/brakes/etc to really make them right.

Perhaps FoMoCo is the biggest kit-car producer in the world... they build the platform and we season it to our taste.

Wonder how many more they'd sell if they finished them at the factory?

Enjoy modding your Merc

Congrats on your purchase!! The grin still hasn't left my face since I bought it except for a fleeting moment when i realized what i paid for my last tank of premium.........talk about getting ***** on gasoline...sheesh!

$2.30 a gallon here in New York. Yikes. Then again, given the smiles per mile, why worry?

Enjoy the new car Blue Oval!! Send us some cheese, please.
