Last weekend, I competed for the second time in the annual Car Casper Custom Auto show (http://carlcasper.com/ (http://carlcasper.com/)). This show has been going for 50 years and is a part of the ISCA circuit.

This means there are professional judges and not the novices you get at a typical weekend show.
When I competed in 2008, I got Second Place.
I spent more time cleaning the Marauder and getting it to a state that it has not been in since I first detailed her 6 years ago. I cleaned just about every inch and crevice of the engine bay, interior, trunk, wheels, etc.
Naturally, I was the only Marauder, the only Mercury, and one of two 4-doors.
I was put in the Conservative Hardtop 2000-2006 class, which means all my competiton was a bunch of newer old and Chargers and Camaros with some ad-ons. It's not hard to make a new car look good.
At any rate, imagine my surprise when the Marauder won First Place.
Here are a few pics:

Finally was able to show off all the memorabilia with the recently-purchased trunk organizer.

Here's some pics from my local club of our other cars in the show:

Surprisingly, I met two local Marauder owners. One is alrealy registered on here and I gave the other one a card, and urged them both to come to the upcoming meet.
Also, it seems that more and more people finally know what the Marauder is vs. 6 years ago when I first showed the Marauder locally.
Just wanted to share the good news that our big 4-door held its own in competition.
