Help
My heater is only working while the car is moving. Left my wife in the car while I ran into the supermarket and she was pissed when I got back. That's the point when I realized the heat is only working when I'm on the gas. It's been so cold here that I haven't been able to test the A/C. I'm pretty sure it is blowing air through chosen vents and defroster it's just not hot.
Any body know a thread for this fix?
Thanks JET

Have you checked your coolant level or opened the cooling system lately?
If it's even remotely low or trapped air, you won't get heat, especially at idle.
Never had to deal with a blend door, so can't help you there.

I highly doubt it's the blend door actuator.
Check the coolant level and burp the system.

When you get heat does it come out where it's supposed to, defrost, center vents, floor vents?

I had the same problem recently. It turned out to be the sensor that reads the inside temperature of the car.Ford part no. is F8AZ-19C-734-AA.Cost was about $31.

Yes the heat comes out were it is supposed to.
A few years ago I did have the ac blower problem that a lot of people also had. Thanks to my friends on MM.NET I got it fixed.
Thanks for all your advice.
I am not the guy who will be fixing it. I am going to take your recommendations to my repair shop. It's Firestone in Short Pump Virginia (western suburb of Richmond). They have been very good to me and Marauder and when I bring in the actual the diagnosis they don't charge me their fee.
On top the heater issues I just had new front headlight cover installed. I got tired of looking at the old faded ones and my car looks so much better now. Right now I getting new shocks all around and a new front sway bars.
So all that being said which of the recommendations do you think I should take to the tech?

I can't seem to upload images onto the site that's why put up these twitter picture links.
Again I had a lot of work done to my Marauder recently and that includes new front rotors and they gave me BLUE brake pads. First I've seen that.

Hey Jet, long time no hear from. Have you kept in touch with fatbastid?
Good to hear from you and all the gang.
Fatbastid is real good. I am real happy for him. He's got a hot girlfriend, He started a comic book series. I even think he is taking up ballroom dancing.
I'm good now living in the suburbs of Richmond Virginia. Great place to raise my two girls 13 & 16. I miss the big city action but not the traffic. There is never ever any real traffic down here.
Just put a boat load of money into my Marauder. Got my wife a new car last year and my daughter will get the next car. So I'm plan on keeping my MM for a long time.
Problem solved
Thanks for your help.
It was the same thing as the A/C problem just on the other side.
