At the top of this image the area there is completely flat as if there is no cushion under it. Any way to fix this?

Any good upholstery shop can fix that.

Seats do wear out. I have an upholstery mechanic lined up to re-do mine, already bought the leather and foam, etc. But he hasn't found time to get to my car yet. Hopefully next week. Skilled guys are usually busy.
I will pay $1,100 dollars to do it right, including reinforcing the spring hammock with a canvas membrane (possibly new, stiffer coil springs too), top-quality foam and hand-sewn covers which will increase the bolsters against cornering forces. Which are actually pretty decent in my Marauder. And this is just for the lowers.
You might be able to get it done for slightly less, but probably not too much.
I know it's not what you wanted to hear. But unless you're going to rapidly learn the upholstery trade and DIY there is not much you can do too cheaply to get new seats. Our Marauders are officially old cars now. ;)

I went to check out two upholstery shops in my area and the first one quoted about 80 bucks for a foam re stuffing and wire frame fix. all I had to do was take the seat out and bring it to them. this place was used by an ICBC approved collision shop. the second one said itd cost 350 bucks and take two days.
so thats quite the price difference. the cheaper guys came out and checked the damage and talked about all the things they could do to fix it and it sounded like they knew what was going on. the other shop just came out looked and said yeah thats a 350 fix. somehow i feel more inclined to go with option one.

Id go with $80, the guy who says $350 and ill fix it is skeptical. The $80 guy told you up front that there is more than one way to skin this cat, obviously has done it for a while, and sees it as an easy fix. Easy fix means he has a better understanding on how to do it.

The cover can be slipped off and the seat bottom re-padded.
My trim/interior guy does it for our customers at the shop, but it is a long drive from B.C. although we would love to see you.

$350.00 to me even still sounds to high, I'e worked my my 64's chevy seats and did them both for less than that amount, (just padding and springs not leather, but then there was no leather it was plastic.

My drivers seat is in amazingly good condition for 145k miles. Peeps at a car show actually commented on it to me when they saw the miles. Lucky I guess. Plus I condition it all the time.

yeah the previous owner of this one definitely didnt do much with the seats in terms of maintenance. I gave her a zaino treament some week ago and i went through 4 cloths that were just black with dirt.
