Over time the rear bumper cover on my MM has reseeded on the left and right sides so that now it looks like it's pushed in somewhat. The bumper cover was replaced about 5 years ago and I'm wondering if there are some kind of spacers that should have been installed between the covers and the body to keep this from happening? Or, if not, is there a known fix for this?

The sag under the tail lights sucks. When I get some time I'm going to make some sort of reinforcement lift plate. My 90 GT has one that goes inside the bumper and helps it keep shape nicely.

If it wasn't for your hidden trailer hitch this would have happened even sooner.

I know my hitch has helped keep the rear from sagging but the problem my OP refers to is the sides of the rear bumper cover looking "pushed in" when looking at the car from the left or right side. It seems there should (or could) be a waffle spacer of some sort that would keep this from happening.
