Drove from Chicago, IL to Austin, TX for South By South West to network and catch a few shows.
Nonstop work from 8am-3am for 5 days straight. It was a gas to drive that far, it's very relaxing and quite stress relieving. Plus it was cheaper than booking a flight within 2 days and a rental car for a week.
The first picture is from when I got to Austin a day early to check out the area. I knew I would be doing a lotta walking around, so I like to know the area. Especially because I would be having a set schedule.
The next two pictures were from a secret Green Day show I knew nothing about until that morning when I read the newspaper. They were under a different name that I knew about. The club had about 600 people in it. Being that I had green hair everyone wanted to talk to me before and after the show. Plus Bille Joe jumped in the crowd and landed on my face. I shoved my business card in his back pocket. Let's see if he calls!

Still trying to upload more from my phone.
I got LOT of Business cards. I will not give full details, but there was one thing I would say that would instantly make people give me their information and a lot of it was because of you guys!
Sponsors are at NAMM, SXSW is for record deals, booking, meeting bands, etc.
This was time well spent.
More details soon and pictures soon.

On the way back home I met up with Chad. I thought I was having a major issue with my rear end So I stopped at a friends shop. It turns out it was from eating too much pork and the car was fine. Still, it was a good time for a photo. I never see places like this in Chicago.

The shot on the road is where I took the photo of 222,222 miles. It was a road right off the interstate. The other shot was some Rockabilly gal playing at the Music Gear Expo. She knew Wanda Jackson songs, but no Hasil Adkins.

Chad was the only guy I ever met with green lettering in the bumper cover. He did his the right way though.
One day I woke up to a flat tire. I broke my jack earlier that week and the one I bought after would not fit under the car. I had to drive 2 miles like this. The local shop had a fitting tire and would accept other forms of payment besides currency or plastic. I guess it was a tough part of town. Still, they were good people. The wheel was actually still good, even if I drove on it for 2 miles.

Is that a Trilogy t-shirt you're wearing?
Yes.
I got it 9 years ago and it was a Medium. At the time I was an XL. I thought I would never fit in a Medium ever. Well, sure enough I decided to better my health and it was the first medium shirt I ever wore, ever.
Even if I lack a blower these days, it's still a cool shirt in my book. Plus being able to ware it was a turning point.
