Hey guys just ordered a chin spoiler. Should be pretty straight forward but any tips or hints for install would be great! Thinking of mocking it up with 3m double sided tape then drilling holes. Let me know of a better way if you have one!
Thanks, Anthony

There is a great installation video at the site where you buy these. I watched it twice.
First and foremost, you need to set the spoiler in the sun so it warms up and is much more pliable.

Depending on where you got the spoiler from it might be predrilled, if not when I installed mine I found center on the spoiler and bumper cover, set a center screw then worked out from each side and it's cemetrically perfect, better off measuring twice and then starting from the center and working your way out. I agree with 1Marauder about letting it sit in the sun, roll it out to the shape it should be, throw it in the sun and she'll be ready to go in about an hour, good luck with it, they really change the look and stance of our ladies

Plastic push pins are way easier to install it than the hardware that comes with it.

Mount and place it with mask tape so you can get it where you like then use push pins make sure there tight

Mark the center of the bumper and the spoiler with painters tape. Align the ends of the spoiler with the front wheel openings. Use plastic push rivets (1/4") to mount.

I dont have one, but if i did, ive heard to use plastic push pins and the 3m mounting tape. Plastic pins because if you hit something they will not damage the bumper as much as screws, and the tape to make sure it seals to your bumper and doesn't whistle while driving.

I've sc***** and hit a couple things with mine and I have the metal hardware, I would say personal preference....
I wouldn't use plastic push pins for something mounted on the front of a car, just makes me think if a really powerful gust of wind came it could rip the spoiler right off the car....

I've hit things and done 120+ at the Charlotte Motor Speedway. All with plastic push rivets, only! Still on and no whistling either.

Sounds good looks like I am going with the plastic push pins! Thanks for all your replies.

Lol I normally take the easy route! Might do a c clip on a style of push pin just for the extra safety don't want to run it over a week after I install it lol.

I even used black silicone to caulk the gap. Sounds goofy, but if you're good at caulking it looks great and holds up well.
I since removed it because it gets curb rash too easily. Gotta be extra careful. And it whistled on mine.

Had no luck with the plastic push pins. They kept coming out. Had to use 1/4 20 nuts and bolts, with large washers. I took the bolts and put them through the chin spoiler. Then pushed them through the holes I made in the bottom of the bumper. Put the large washers on, and then the nut. If I hit something with it, the bolts will pull though the spoiler and not the bumper.

+100000000-Plastic push rivets and spoiler.
Didn't tear up the front bumper with impact. Say no more.

Drill smaller holes. Thumbs should be sore from the force needed to push them all through.

I used the screws, if you're going to drill it might as well have it be sturdy. Mine also whistles, wondering if caulk on the rear side of the spoiler/bumper meeting edge would help?

I put weather stripping inbetween the spoiler and the bumper. Still whistles. Tailgating seems to help with the whistling.
