This aint about speed because its obvious which is better. im curious abut how well a marauder can keep up with a boss 302 on the curves. or for that matter a regular gt. anyone with experience?

Speed is not the question, it's weight. Panther has a lot of mass to swing into an apex.

Never thought of the Marauder as a handling car. You can improve it, but its still not a road racer.
You want a Ford built for handling? Get a 2 dr Focus and spend some $$$ on the suspension, wheels & tires. I owned/modded a tricked out 00 ZX3 that handled like it was a go cart. Didn't cost all that much to make it that way either. I should have kept her around and went FI w/4.06 final. :(

I've had mine out on the road course and it did pretty well. I've also auto-x'd it a few times. You just have to remember, you're driving a BIG girl on little + tall tires.

Comparing it to a Boss 302 performance wise is like comparing Kate Upton to Betty White.

Betty before or after a Snickers?

I had the privilege to drive a boss. It turns hahaha. Marauder digs....then turns.

I Auto Cross my Marauder several times per year. I've got the massive Adco sway bars and Sparta/CHP control arms & watts link. Very little body roll. I also run the CarboTech AX-6 pads with the stock size rotors. Last year at one Auto Cross event, some friends from our car club showed up with their 03 Mustang Cobra's and a 2010 Camaro. My times were faster than theirs. Granted, I've got more seat time, but it just goes to show with the right mods and driver, you can get a 4200 pound car to handle and run well.
