Hey guys just wanted to introduce myself quickly. Name is rob from boston ma. Just bought a 2003 black mercury marauder. It has 175k miles and has been beaten badly. But hey whats wrong with rescuing my dream car and bringing back a car that i believe will be on of the last full sized american muscle cars. Im 20 soon to be 21 years old. So yes i have a lot to learn but my age does change a thing. Im sure i have the same amount of passion about these cars as some of you "older" ;) members do. I have been driving a 2000 grand marquis ls that had been passed on through my family. I fell in love with it. Actually turned it into a marauder clone so to now have the real thing is amazing. Im sure ill need a lot of input and help with part locatoon and many other rhings so feel free to contact, comment, and point me in the right direction at any time. Will also be looking for some meets in my location hopefully in a few months when the car is completed. Thanks guy for the read looking forward to building my car, and telationships with other marauder lover.

Welcome to the bar!!!

If you got her cheap enough you could practically rebuild everything and still come out on top...If it was needed. These car are still going strong at >250,000 miles. regular maint. and up keep and yo uwon't know the difference between 157,000 miles and 57,000...Congrats! Let the mods begin!!!

What he said. Definately pull the MM specific parts off the GM.

Attached a few photos. One includes a picture of my grand marquis clone haha. But as far as short term plans id like to just get it road worthy. Like i said check the regularly maintained things and replace ball joints, breaks, maybe calipers but yeah nothing too serious. As far as long term though i have a book of cosmetic things id love to do as fat as repaintingng it and trunk and chin spoilers. Caliper paint. Black rims. But yeah id also love to do numerous engine mods and one day hopefully supercharge it. Oh and dont forget suspension mods aswell!

Thanks,
Rob!

^^^Looks good!

If you didn't know, you have an earlier build known as a 300A. What is the build date?

yes, they are two lights in the grille they came with the car when i purchased it a few days ago. i actually like the look of them but the wires have been cut. i might splice them back together and see what they look like. hey if they look like crap they are just bolted on so just a quick removal!

Cut wires to the lights in the grille. I wonder if they were wig-wags? Mine was an undercover car for the Springfield, MA police dept. I pulled a mile of wire and relays from under the hood, under rugs, behind the console... I reused some of the wire for an N2O kit I had. :D
