just a heads up to anyone looking to buy a car from these scum bags, heres my experiences that will deter you from doing so.
it all starts about a year ago, when i was asked to take my mothers car up to the place to get a free oil change(every car sold gets free oil changes for a lifelime....along with elevated blood pressure), so my mom had made an appointment, i get there about 15 minutes early, i ask them about how long it would be, they tell me about 45 minutes. i say ok, i go and sit down and start reading a magazine....about an hour goes by, i get up and ask them about how long its going to be, they say maybe another 30 minutes, since they wash every vehicle free of charge also. i sit down again, a half hour later, i ask them where the car is, they reply it just got done the oil change and it will be going in through the car wash now, and only a few minutes left to wait, and wait, and wait. after 3 hours of waiting, i get the car back, a little ridiculous if you ask me.
now today is why im writing this, we take my wifes f150 in for an oil change and the 'auto butler' service thats due for it. we made an appointment, and dropped it off about an hour early, while we were there i asked the guy what exactly does the 'auto butler' do? he replied that they have a machine that buffs the truck and applies a paint sealant. i followed her up there in my car, so she wasn't stuck there for hours, and we drove back home. she gets a phone call that the truck is ready, we go up, and when they show us the truck...WTF! the pin stripping was peeling off and bits off it were completly removed. i tell the guy and he looks at me like im an azzhole and immediatly says "the auto butler didnt do that", i say "you drive in and a machine does it, right?" and he goes " no its not a machine you drive through, we drive the truck in and get out, and a machine does it", i looked dumbfounded, and replied "right, a MACHINE does it". after i said that, he wants to ask the service department to make sure that the truck even recieved the auto butler package, walks away without saying anything and gets on the phone. pardon me if i was wrong, but it was about this time i started 'keeping it real':mad2:. another guy walks out, to talk to me, and i start explaing the issue, as me and him are walking around the car, i asked him if they washed it before the auto butler was done, he replied that they did, so i then asked if it was thier machine car wash or if someone hand washed it? his response was that they hand washed it. so i started pointing out everything that wasnt even washed.....wheel wells, the exterior hood scoop had dirt caked on it, the headlights had bug juice...which when i pointed out, the guy felt it with his finger, and told me that the headlight was etched....i walked back over to it, licked my finger and rubbed it until it came off, looked at him and said "Really?", they were doing everything in their power to deny the things i was pointing out, until i started steaming from my ears, and lost my composure. the f-bomb was dropped, "who hand washes a car like this....what, do you guys hire 12 year olds, seriously, put some damn pride in your work.." i felt the :bs: had to stop, so i told them exactly how i felt. immediatly after the white trash came out of me, he agreed that i was right, and is going to have the pin stripping re-done, i said "thank you" and then told me that they'll rewash and redo the auto butler, and i said "dont even worry about that, i'll do it right, i have stuff at home that will put your shat to shame".
so here it is, thats why jones's sucks! i wouldn't recommend them to anyone but a tree hugger. truck is still there, now im waiting to have the pin stripping redone.
