How do you guys fit a high-capacity transmission cooler along with an intercooler or heat exchanger? I need a trans cooler immediately, but would hate to revisit the installation when I add a supercharger and cooler down the road. Either Vortech or eaton swap (mustang cobra clone "engine swap") are possibilities due to living in California.

This will depend on how large the intercooler is and the transmission cooler is, im assuming you would mount them side by side.

If you get a trans cooler with a thermostat-controlled fan, you have more options as far as mounting it since it doesn't have to be up front catching air. you could put it off to the side behind the front bumper.

I have a transmission cooler mounted low, in between the radiator and front bumper frame at ~30º angle. The Frozenboost heat exchanger replaced the stock Trilogy/Cobra piece in front of the radiator behind the grille.

My trans cooler clips to the radiator. The intercooler radiator mounts in front where the horn is. Special brackets are needed. The horns need some reconfiguring too.

Are you referring to those plastic push pins with the flat discs that just push through the fins of the radiator?

Do you have any photos of this setup?

Here's a picture, when I was upgrading my H/E. Notice the DR installed crooked trans cooler, I made new mounts later that day.

Thanks for the pics. So, just to make sure I understand:

Underneath the bumper cover is a liquid/air intercooler for the supercharger. Air flow comes through the bumper cover inlets and is aided by fans at low speed.

The (apparently large) transmission cooler is bracket mounted to the radiator supports in front of the AC condenser.

Any comments or recommends on the trans cooler model and brackets, hose interconnects, etc?

I didn't install it, but I believe so.
