Congrats!....:bows:

Turbos are THE best S/C option. (cost not being an issue.)

Tons of midrange torque and top end HP.

No belts to spin....just recovering lost exhaust gas energy and .....WHOOOOOSH!

On the highway you just dip into the pedal and AWAYYYYYYYY you go!

Congratulations. The car is certainly responding well. I am glad to see the "speed bumps" have passed. This happens with any car. Most would give up and throw it away or sell it. It takes time for everything to come together and give you that feeling of well, you know what I mean. Trust me as a Turbo Buick owner for 14 years I think I might have an idea of what the blue car has put you through. But now that everything has fallen in line it appears that you have created a FREAKING MONSTER!!!!!!!!!! ENJOY!

I would be honored but do not possess the proper inch pound dial torque wrench yet so therefor must decline for any kind of quick time frame.

Honestly I set my pinion preload by feel alone and over 5,000 hard miles (and two inspections) has yielded perfect results. (You should see what else I do by feel! )However that is MY car, not someone else's..

Let me perhaps add that to my list of endless stuff to buy. Front of line of course. :)

Are you leaving the conservative 93 octane tune, or do you have an E85 suppliy where you are? Bet at that power level, you can't feel the difference - 580/565 is wicked strong on the street

My current and previous rear end set up guys used the 'fell'/pattern method = dead quiet and last long time.
in/lb isn't going to give you a torque reading as good as your arm can fell - I asked her.:censor:

Zack
03-29-2014, 06:46 AM
The engine is as follows:
Iron Block
9.3:1 Fully Coated Diamond Pistons
Manley Rods
Cobra Crank
Stock Heads, Cams and Intake.
Certainly nothing special.

Zack

I don't drive the car that much believe it or not.
For long hauls I will use 93 Octane, otherwise E85 will be in there all the time.

The benefits and added safety of the E85 make it a no-brainer to use exclusively.

Pictures in a build thread makes it look easy. And my car was crashed quite horribly beforehand.

I have no idea if this can even be exactly duplicated in a car that was not wrecked.

Way off topic.. Zack, I read up on second gen CTS-V and G8's one thing they do for twins turbos is place the turbos where the cats use to be. Looked under my car and thought there is a good amount of space to try that. Have you ever thought of something like that? piping would be a lot easier and we could just use or stock manifold. I would try it but an eaton swap is a whole lot easier for me

Kits like that work great but they are packaged so tight it becomes a hassle to work on.
My kit is so well thought out every single nut, bolt and clamp is accessible with ease.
However, it wasn't until I changed the oil for the first time that I realized a huge oversight. The oil filter had to be removed from front to back, by Unbolting the steering shaft. I LOL'ed

Not to mention the remote mount turbo kits make the intercooler piping a nightmare!, if they run an intercooler at all!
