View Full Version : Wheel switch lights inop

It seems that, apparently, the steering wheel switches are supposed to be back lit. If they are, has anyone had theirs go dark and found a fix? I had them apart today to clean the buttons and didn't see anything obvious that would cause them to not light up.

Or maybe they just have some secret stealth mode that I've inadvertently activated.

They are backlit, surface mount LED's, you will need new switch's. It is possible that the signal is not there, it is pulse width modulated, you will need a scope to verify the signal.

I may have access to a scope, but that's getting farther into it than I'm comfortable with. Does the LCM have anything to do with them? Seems to be a common problem with them not lighting up.

Any that will look at a square wave..... mine happens to be an HP.
