Hi,
I had to replace a water pump on my marauder when on a trip to Pennsylvania two years ago. I was in the middle of no where and had to settle for an after market one from Advance Auto. It is now leaking from the gasket I believe. I ordered one from Ford and I just want to know if there is an special thing you need to do for the gasket to seal properly?

It is actually sealed with an O-Ring and you can lubricate it with a little grease or a thin film of Silicone when installing it!!
Make sure there are no burrs on the mating surface and you should be fine!!:D

I just had mine changed also, the shop ordered two from Napa and the finish on them was terrible and would have needed to be filed a bit to actually fit, they then ordered a new one from Ford and they have a nice machined finish fit perfect and no issues.
